It is rumoured that Microsoft will soon announce a new contract based monthly service called ‘Xbox All Access’.
The service will offer a way to subscribe to the Xbox Eco System (Console, Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass) for a monthly fee.
The expected pricing stands to be around $22 per month for an Xbox One S, Xbox Live and Games pass on a 24 month contract. If you increase the price to $35 a month, this will get you an Xbox One X instead.
A system like this will provide a better and easier way for the consumer to own and run an Xbox. All too often people will buy luxuries like this on credit and could pay much more than what Microsoft is set charge.
It is worth noting though that a payment structure like this may only work out well if you are currently paying full retail price and can’t afford to buy the console and subscriptions out right.
Xbox Live $59.99 per year ($119.98 over 24 months)
Xbox Game Pass $9.99 per month ($239.76 over 24 months)
Xbox One S – Around $230
Total over 24 months = $589.74
On the subscription model this could be brought down to $528 (22 x $24).
You can usually pick up Xbox Live and Game Pass Subscription’s cheaper via Amazon, and you can quite often get a good deal on on the Xbox console’s if you shop around.
This service isn’t expected to launch yet, but I would say it could come anytime between now and E3 2019.
